cookie policy

We set no cookies of our own, and there is no cookie banner. This page lists everything the site can store in your browser: two functional values that are set automatically, and the choices you make yourself.

Opening animation. On your first page view, sol:introis written to your browser’s session storage so the animation does not replay on every page. It holds no personal data and disappears when you close the tab.

Newsletter box. Unless you have already signed up or closed the box in the last thirty days, sol:newsletteris written to your browser’s session storage: first the time your visit started, so the box waits a few seconds into the visit, then a note that it has been shown, so it does not appear again on every page of the same visit. It holds no personal data and disappears when you close the tab. If you sign up or close the box, sol_newsletter in local storage records that choice with the date, so the box does not come back after a sign-up and stays away for thirty days after you close it.

Your map choice. The location pageshows a Google Maps map only after you click “load map”. Google then receives your IP address and may set its own cookies. Your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage (key sol_consent, with the date and the version of the map notice) so we do not ask on every visit; it expires after twelve months. Hide the map with the link below it, or here.

Analytics opt-out. Our visitor statistics run on our own server (Umami) without cookies; see the privacy policy. If you switch them off, that choice is stored under the key umami.disabled: analytics in this browser: checking…
